I had my 12 week OB appt today and she said I'm officially done with 1st trimester. I always thought it was when you hit 13 weeks, but Dr. Google shows it varies between 12 and 14.

Anyway, I feel like I'm in limbo land with trimesters, so I probably won't be participating too much over the next week or so Figured I'd say hello anyway, since I am pretty excited to be moving forward.

A lot of people consider 12 weeks second tri because risk of m/c dramatically decreases. Technically, it doesn't start until 13.3 weeks because that's what 40/3 is.

It's allllll subjective. You will see someone ask about once a week or two weeks, "what week starts the ___ trimester?" and "what week starts the ____ month?"

there is no black and white. if you're in the ballpark, just call it.

This. I hit 12wks yesterday. And honestly I'm not a huge fan of the 1st tri board (probably b/c I am a STM and pretty much knew what to expect and feel that most of their questions can be answered with a quick trip to google. IMO) so will probably be checking out this board more and more now. Farewell First Trimester, won't say I will miss you!! Hello Second!!
