So, I'm hearing a lot of talk about progesterone lately, and it has me kind of worried.
I had my progesterone drawn before I knew I was pregnant to confirm ovulation, and at 8dpo it was 18.6. I know that's a fantastic number, and I feel good about it. But is that one draw enough?
I asked the nurse to take progesterone with my betas and she told me it really wouldn't tell me much. I trust all my nurses and my RE, but I'm just worried I'm not doing enough to make sure this pregnancy has a good outcome.

Your progesterone is created during ovulation as a cyst on your ovary. It slowly deteriorates, releasing progesterone into your system. If you have a great number, that means you have plenty. The women with low progesterone (like myself) don't create a big enough cyst, so it runs out before the placenta takes over progesterone production at... I think it was 8-10 weeks. (I'm 34w now, so it was a while ago I did the research.) So they need supplements to keep enough in their system.
So, yeah. If you have a good number, you're golden. No need for a recheck.
