Home daycare cost?

Hi ladies. My husband and I are just starting our daycare search for our LO. We are leaning towards a family daycare setting. I am curious how much people are paying for their home daycare option and in what town. So far we have received rates ranging from 69.50 an hour. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your response! It's okay. I know it's also a very private thing so some people might not be willing to share that information.

    A lot of home day cares in our preferred towns i.e. Beverly/Danvers tend to run less than that 50 to 60 dollars a day tends to be the average but the one my husband and I like the most so far of course is even more than 8.50 an hour. It is actually 9.50 an hour for children less than 15 months. While we love it, I don't know if we want to or can pay that much. I have been doing fairly extensive research online and through word of mouth so I am looking into some more affordable options too. They do get booked up quickly though!

    Not exactly answering your question but DD goes to a daycare center in Boston proper. We pay 410 a week for 9 hours 5 days a week. So that's 9.11 per hour

    I run a home daycare and I charge $60/$65 a day about 30 minutes outside of boston.

    My mother has a home based family daycare in Easton. She charges 40 to 50 a day.

    I pay $65 a day in Dorchester. When I was researching, that was average. I think the highest I was quoted was $75 a day.

    I've paid $275/week for a facility 9flucuates with age) and $205/week for in home (straight fee, no matter age).The inhome also supplied wipes :)
