I had one final ultrasound today, but the placenta previa had not resolved, so I am scheduled for a C-section tomorrow, when I'll be exactly 38 weeks. I am a little nervous about having abdominal surgery, not to mention becoming a mother, but I am really looking forward to meeting this little kid and, of course, finding out whether "it" is a he or a she!
Unbelievably, for all of my preparations and list-making and laundry and reading, etc., I somehow forgot to do my pre-surgery bloodwork when I was at the hospital today. My husband just realized it. I called labor and delivery, and they assured me that they could just draw the blood in the morning, before the surgery, but I can't believe I did that. For all the mundane little details I've been focusing on, I completely forgot something important.
