Re: Post something fun and happy

  • I'm going to be an aunt to a little girl.  My brother and sis-in-law (who have had about a 2 year struggle TTC between a molar pregnancy, fibroids and 2 surgeries) just found out they are having a little girl.

It will be the first (and only) granddaughter.  DS is the first and only grandson.

  • Oh I love this!

    1)  I love being a SAHM.  It is our first really nice, warm day of the year and we spent the morning at the zoo with a group of my mom friends and their kids.  We had a picnic lunch and just got home.  Both of my kiddos are napping (at the same time!) right now and I'm taking a minute for myself.  I feel really fortunate that I was able to quit my job to spend my days doing so many fun things with my babies every day.  I'm also thankful for all of the new mom friends I've made and in turn all of the baby friends my kids have because of it as well.

    2)  My daughter gets more and more beautiful by the day.  She is absolutely gorgeous and she amazes me with new things all of the time.  Whether it be the way she sings songs, how she read me her favorite books from memory, or even just watching her run around and play at the park I just can't believe how big she is getting.  My son makes me giggle every day.  He is such a happy baby and I love the way that his eyes look like they are barely even open when he smiles so big.  I am so lucky to have them and I love them with every morsel of my being.

    3)  I'm so happy to be pregnant again.  I've always wanted three babies and I'm praying everything works out so I can close this chapter of my life.  I've always pictured us as a family of 5.  My husband is such a great father and I can't help but think of how lucky another little girl or boy will be to be able to call him their daddy.

    4)  We ordered a kick ace swing set for the kids over the weekend.  I just got an email saying it has been shipped and I'm freakishly excited about it.

    5)  One of my best friends had a scheduled c-section at noon today.  I have been clenching my phone waiting to see a picture of her new baby for the last hour and a half and can't wait to hear the news that he's here and healthy!

  • What a great post!

I love when Grace smiles, even if it is just gas. :)

I'm proud that we went out to do "errands" today, even if that means we just got in the car and went through the drive-thru for an iced coffee. :)

I'm excited that my sister is visiting tomorrow and the weather will be gorgeous so that we can eat lunch on the deck.

  • Bump ate my first attempt, so here goes!

    1) I love hippos! They make me smile. I wish I could have one as a pet. I was absolutely delighted to find boynton books often star hippos. I just finished reading hippos go berserk and belly button book to J.

    2) J is laughing and chatting. I love it! She recently started some vocalizations that sound like cats fighting. I think it is hysterical, DH says it is getting old.

    3) I love my cloth diapers! They are super cute and way fun to change! I make up songs and stories about different colors and prints. The woodland animals are a guarantee for poopies.

    4) I'm very silly. I love taking kiddos on trips through my imagination. I've been waiting so long to have my own child so I can share my crazy silly world every day.

    5) I'm so happy that my IRL friend who is 33w pregnant is so close to being a mommy after 3 rounds of IVF. I treasure our friendship and having someone to talk to about IF as we were living in hell. She is so good for my soul. I'm so excited that our babies will be about 6mo apart!

    6) my crockpot makes me happy. I envision it as a happy little gremlin that lives in my kitchen. I offer it a bunch of random things and it makes dinner for me. The best part is it doesnt mind if it took J longer to go down than usual, my food it still hot and yummy!

7)I love being a mama! J is adorable and the best buddy ever.  I'm so happy that I get to mostly stay home with her! I'm beyond grateful that my parents want to watch her when I do have to work.

  • EXCELLENT idea!!

    1. The boys have recently started laughing at each other. DS1 has always been pretty interested in DS2, but DS2 is now all about DS1. They just look at each other and blow raspberries or stick their tongues out to crack each other up. I'm pretty sure it is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

    2. DH is an amazing father. He adores the boys. I know he'd be happy as a SAHD if my profession could keep up with the financial contributions of his job.I knew he'd be so amazing at parenting and I'm so thrilled he has the chance to be a dad.

    3. I always worried that I wasn't "kid friendly" enough to make silly faces and play games all day. I HATED babysitting. But, I love it with my boys. I hate leaving them with DH for errands or time out because nothing is more fun than being with them.

    4.  They are loving solids. When I put them in their high chairs, they start wiggling around and banging their hands. And, when I bring the bowl with the food toward them, they both start waving their hands, squealing, and smacking their lips. If I can't get it in their mouths fast enough, they will start licking the tray where drops of food have been left behind. It's hilarious.

  • E stood by herself today. For over 5 seconds. It was amazing!
Also, she is an awesome eater. She will eat absolutely anything, but if she really likes it, she will say "om yum yum" while eating. Cracks me up!
I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful husband who is an amazing dad to E. I am thankful for him every day, especially when I hear coworkers complain about how their H's don't help out.
I am so in love with my little family!
