Introducing Owen Michael

My Cinco de Mayo baby turned out to be an April 26 birthday! Owen Michael was born Friday afternoon, 4/26 at 6:09 pm. I was sent to L&D straight from a doctor's appointment (I had been having some constant pain the night before, and doctor's figured he was either sitting on a nerve or it was muscular-skeletal issues due to his position, but when she checked me, I was at 90 percent effaced, 6 cm dilated, and thinks I was actually having labor pains.)

I was sent to L&D (skipping over the usual triage), they checked me again, and I was at 7-8 (still not feeling anything, really, except uncomfortable and crampy). They broke my water, had a few STRONG contractions, then had an epidural. I pushed for about 90 minutes (and watched it on a mirror... highly recommended) and Owen Michael made it into the world at 6:09 pm. (7 pounds, 8 ounces) I'll probably be pretty scarce 'round these parts for a while, but BEST OF LUCK to everyone!! Being a mama is truly unbelievable, and I'm SO in love with this little baby.
