What do you use for white noise? The damn sleep sheep turns off after 45 mins And I'm tired of using my phone all night

Re: Sound machine/ white noise

  • We love the Soundspa Portable by Homedics. Can use it anywhere with batteries or adaptor and it stays on until you turn it off. It has 6 sounds but we use ocean and white noise the most. It's also really loud and only 20. I know both Target and Buy Buy Baby carry it.

  • I just use a box fan. I can't sleep without white noise either.

  • I have the same app on both our phones and tablets (sleepy sounds) so we set up whichever we're not using.

This.  My 2 big kids sleep to rain.  I also downloaded white noise to my itunes and use my phone for us and DD#2 (still in our room).

  • We have the munchkin sound machine and projector from Target. I like that it can stay on all night, and then when we're ready to start weaning, it has time frames where it'll turn off, and a noise sensor so it'll turn back on if LO starts fussing.

    We have the same one.

That's why I can't stand the Sleep Sheep.

  • I use to use my phone all night as well. We were using Spotify and it would start to skip, so we decided to get an actual sound machine. I was walking through Buy Buy Baby and heard the Dohm. I wanted to pass out in the store because it was so soothing to me, so we bought one. It is expensive and I'm sure the cheaper ones work just as well, but I like it and DS seems to sleep well with it.

  • Thanks everyone. We ending up buying the one at Target, the Homedics, but it was $25 and I think it's just because it says "Baby" on the box. Granted there is a heart beat function. there isn't rain which was annoying but it does have Brook which sounds similar.
