Natural birth providers around Independence?

Hello all! I'm here asking a question for a friend. She moved to KC (Independence) from California last winter. She and her husband and looking to start TTC this summer. She had an induced hospital birth with her daughter and is looking to do a fully natural birth with this baby. She's open to midwives or birth centers. The kicker is that the birth will be covered by Medicaid. I'm not sure what MO law is in regards to covering CPM or CNM care. So anyway -- looking for recommendations of natural birth friendly practitioners around the Independence, MO area who also accept Medicaid. OB/Family doc/Midwives are all okay. She's just wanting to start looking into possibilities BEFORE she gets pregnant. Thanks for any help you may have!

    I used health care for women, they are a group on practice located in Centerpoint hospital. They have great group of doctors that were really wonderful about giving me the birh I wanted. I did deliver at Centerpoint which was flexible with my birth plan. Healthcare for women also has a nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife in the practice. It's not quite the same as a birthing center or home birh but its the next bet thing and I liked all of the OBs and CNMW.

    My friend is also saying that water birth is important to her. Does Centerpoint offer that option?

    She should look into New Birth Company although they aren't in Independence. They're in Overland Park at Corporate Woods but it wouldn't be too far of a drive for her.
