Huricane Katrina

I wasn't dating my DH during 9/11 but I have known him since we were in kindergarten. He was working in Boston and was scheduled to fly out on Flight 11 to LA for work. My MIL had a heart attack on the morning of the 10th, and he changed his flight while sitting at the airport, to fly home. He was at the airport when they grounded the flights.
Huricane Katrina. I have family along the golf coast, and they were directly effected by Katrina.
I was in grade 8 at the time of Columbine. I was in middle school. The high school, in which my big brother was locked down the following morning, in fear that there was going to be a shooting there. I don't remember exactly how it became knowledge. There was a list of those who they were going to go after, and my brother's best friend, the captain of the football team was on that list.
