What are you going to put your newborn in for sleeping if you do not use the crib immediately? This is my 1st baby, and I assumed I would just put her in the crib when she's born.
Baby will be in the bassinette next to my bed for the first 6 months at least (DS #1 was there for 7 months), because it is recommended to prevent SIDS to have the baby in with you for the first 6 months, and the bassinette made feeding at night really easy, I would just pull him out BF and put him back without getting out of bed, or even waking up fully, it was a lifesaver.
Also, when he was very little we co-slept part-time (he was in bed with me), it was the only way to get him to sleep, again a lifesaver,
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.
We are going to use our Rock n' Play again, and the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper. We didn't really need both, but we used both with DS. I liked the Co-Sleeper at night time when he was nursing a lot or going through a growth spurt, and I liked the Rock n' Play because I could tote it throughout the house and always have a place for baby if he was napping. The Rock N' Play was a life saver for a very long time and I'm hoping it will be just as good this time around. DS stayed in our room for the first 6 months.
We said goodbye to our sweet Taylor Ashley on August 8, 2012.We lost baby Noelle on May 1, 2015
Mom to Cam and Al, now expecting baby number 3, August 2016. Praying for lots of sticky baby dust!
I'm borrowing a bassinet, and will use the RNP if I need to! Whatever works... I'll keep the baby in our room for the first few weeks and then when we're comfortable, we'll move him to his crib.

We will start off with the bassinette level on the pack n play, right next to our bed. If this LO has any issues sleeping, we will switch to the RNP, which worked wonders for DS.
hopefully we will use our bassinet. we also have that little vibrating bassinet thing that came with the graco pnp.....ds would only sleep in that. but I have heard nothing but good things about the rnp too.

Never tried the rock and play and I may look into that. But what I did for the first 2 months with DS is have a pack and play with a newborn accessories and changing station and had it beside the bed. Then I moved him into his room and crib by 7 to 8 weeks. I wasn't able to breast feed so I had to get up regardless and warm up the bottles. I'm hoping I'm able to this round.
We are using the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper for a few months while she is nursing so frequently at night. Then she will move into her crib (probably around 3 months or so).

This and the RnP. Really it depends on what ever the baby will sleep in. My son switched it up on us quite a bit right in the beginning and then we switched him to the crib when I went back to work. When they are nursing so frequently at night it is just easier to have them by your side. But after that they are noisy little turds! So for me, if I wanted sleep, he had to be in his own room.
A pack n play in our room for a while. We'll play it by ear and then move him to the crib in his room. But we'll have him nap in the crib from the start. With DS1 we had a mini cosleeper, which worked great, but we had to downsize our baby gear and the pack n play was more necessary to keep.
I am a FTM, but we have purchased a bassinette. It is on wheels, which I think will be great for moving baby between our master bedroom and spair room when hubby needs a better sleep. We do not plan to use the crib for at leas the first 3-4 months.

Just like with dd, lo Will sleep in our room in the pnp bassinet until he or she is 5 or 6 months old. Itworked so great for us the first time, I can't imagine us doing it any other way. Being able to check on her , change a dipe, sooth back to sleep, nurse, etc without getting out of bed was just the best.

We did crib right away with our fist and will do the same this time. Everyone has their own parenting opinions, but having our baby in her crib in another room across the hall resulted in her sleeping through the night early, she is excellent at self soothing, and we sleep well making is better parents. Anyway, to each their own but I know people made me feel bad going straight to the crib and I am so grateful we did it that way!

This
We will most likely be using the bassinet part with our pack and play and we also plan on getting a rock and play so we may end up using that too.
My mom is pushing for a Moses basket but I think it is unnecessary with all the other things.
This is our plan as well.
My new bff Gayle Forman!
This is our plan too. RNP will probably stay in our bedroom and PNP will be in the living area.
LO then (2 days) and now (1 year)
