2nd Trimester

Headaches?

I was wondering if this is pregnancy related. A few days ago I got a really bad headache when I woke up, and while I was right about to take my tylenol, my headache stopped but I took it anyway in case it came back because it was a whopper! then like less than 2 hours later, it came back and lasted for like 6 or more hours! I also had nausea with it everytime I stood up or moved, and I didn't have any morningsickness at all before this. (1st tri, just nausea, no vomiting, but stopped a few weeks ago). Finally it went away and the next day it came back off and on. I didn't take anything that day, and now it is currently today lol and I have another big headache with no nausea!!! So basically for the last 3 days, I've had off/on headaches and this is not normal for me! I'm miserable and confused! Is this pregnancy related or what? and should I talk to my doctor?  I know it's confusing but please help!

Re: Headaches?

  • I get headaches pretty frequently, too.

Usually if I have a small cup of coffee or a soda I feel better.  Tylenol doesn't do a damn thing for me.

    I hope you feel better!

  • Yes! There for a while I would get headaches that lasted anywhere from half of the day, to the whole day. They aren't as frequent now. Thank God!

  • lol thank god i'm not alone!!! I was crying so bad the other day and worse the last couple thinking like, "OH MY GOD THEY NEVER END"!!! lol yea and your right about the pop (or soda like you normal ppl call it lol) I had one a couple hours ago at my DH's request and it worked but I also took tylenol at the same time so I thought the tyl did it! I'm gonna be bummed if this lasts for 3 or more months though lol!

  • I had pretty relentless headaches from weeks 13 until just last week. My OB suggested drinking a regular coke and taking a tylenol and benedryl to knock it out. It helped me a little but didn't totally get rid of them.

I hope you feel better soon!

  • I get them alot actually at least one every day or every other day.  Yesterday I had one that was at least for 3 hours, and according to my doctor I can't take anything so I have to "stick it out" I find drinking tea/coffee helps or just sleep.  Hope you feel better soon.
  • I have also had very bad headaches. Mine have been going on for over a month now. They come in the morning I pop 2 Tylenol then 4 hours later like clock work I take 2 more and so on and so on. I do have day where I don?t take as many but more of the days I am taking about 6-8 Tylenol. I am hoping that it goes away soon!
