I probably won't show for a while and my bump won't be all pretty and round. I mean I'm not super big but I'm def thick.
probably should've waited to ttc till I dropped a few pounds but my SO was very convincing with his "you're beautiful the way you are" speech.
anyone else feeling this way? Or am I being a whiny biotch?
Re: Being chubby and pregnant
The majority of us don't feel glamorous while pregnant.
And he prob does really think you're beautiful the way you are but I don't think anyone worth being with would find this insecurity attractive so knock it off and get back to being your beautiful self.
I feel the same way I almost cried a couple of hours ago when I stepped on the scale. I thought I would have more time before I actually got pregnant, but we were very lucky and conceived right away.
I am trying to eat healthier and I have cut out all soft drinks/caffeine and I haven't had any potato chips since we got our BFP. But I just feel really down right now.
You're growing a human being! Weight gain is normal. Concentrate on eating whole foods in healthy amounts but don't feel guilty for not having the perfect diet.
I started this pg 10 lbs heavier than I wanted to. My bump is pretty and I am too. Please don't get down on yourself. Where in the world did you get this misconception that your bump won't be pretty?

all of this. I am about 30 lbs overweight - but I'm going to rock this pregnancy!! Your body is doing amazing things - focus on that!!!
I mean this with all seriousness ... honey, you have a tough road ahead of you if you're upset about weight gain in 1st tri. You're pregnant, you're going to gain weight regardless of how well you eat. Your best bet is to use common sense, eat healthy and don't look at the scale.

Heck yes! Me too! Your body is doing something amazing! Embrace it.
1. I think we're all whiney right now, so that part's ok.
2. I'm quite small and tall but I have bloated up insanely in my abdomen and my boobs have gone from an A to a C in 4 weeks (I'm somewhere around 6.5-7 weeks)
3. My dr.'s rule is not to weigh myself at ALL during pregnancy and that he will NOT tell me how much I weigh unless it is unhealthy and I need to know.
4. #3 is the best rule I've ever heard because it will let me take my mind off of my physical insecurities, let someone else deal with that, and allow me to focus on my little person and the next 7.5 months which I am certain will be simultaneously unpleasant, hilarious, and educational...ahem.
Same here! More to love and embrace!
