Preventing and Removing Gentian Violet Stains advice?

So silly me applied the GV to both myself & NB as per my DR did the vaseline on the NB but come to find out no rubbing alcohol in sight.... any advice for getting out set in GV stains on the skin? NB still have purple lips Stick out tongue

    Depending on how much you use and the turn over of cells in your skin, it can take up to a week. Nothing really helps get it out. Rubbing alcohol can help if you get it on clothing but not skin. Sorry!

    I've heard (but never done it) that you can apply a light layer of vaseline around their lips to help the purple from staining the skin.  Might be worth  try??
