interviewing day care providers

We are in the process of looking for full-time daycare for my son. He will be four months when he begins daycare. We are hoping to check out some centers this week and maybe contact some in-home providers. What are some things to look for/things to ask? I did a quick search and found an article, but I'm wondering what in your personal experience has been important or helpful.

    cpr certified

    state certified

    review state audits -this can be found online

    vacay/sick/holiday policy

    ratio

    what they provide and what you need to bring

    food/menu -this may not be an issue now but at 1 yo and eating table foods it could be

    hrs

    pay

    backup care provided

    how often are toys sanitized? sheets changed?
