I am on my 2nd pregnancy but it has been almost 10 years since my first so I can't remember much! I am just over 4 weeks along and have been experiencing some back back and twinges/pains in my stomach. NOT A DROP OF BLOOD.
Yep definitely normal, I'm experiencing it as well. The back pain is from your pelvic area becoming more flexible due to hormone increase (the hormone relaxin specifically). The abdominal twinges I would assume would just be normal cramping, or can be RLP (round ligament pain) which is normal as well, but this is most common later on in pregnancy however some women experience it earlier rather than later. Don't worry though! You're definitely not alone! :-)
I don't really have cramps but more likea mild dull sensation of pessure on and off. It is worse when sitting for a while. Also worth mentioning is that pregnancy hormones affect your bowels and some abdominal cramping can be due to bloating or slowed peristalsis.
I am also on my second baby with the first one being 12 yrs ago. I am just over 5 wks. This morning I had to go to the chiro because my lower back and front right lower pelvis felt like I had pulled my back out. Good to know I'm not alone. Feel much better after chiro and an ice pack on my back. Just rest and I'm sure will feel better soon:
Re: Is this normal???
