preg after miss

hey everyone, I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant today, i had a miss on march 25 so i did not have a cycle and got preg right after miss. has anyone else had this happen to them?

If you don't mind me asking how far along were you when you miscarried? Was it a chemical pregnancy or did you have to have a D and C?

The reason I ask is because depending on how far along you were when you miscarried you may still have HCG in your body. This could cause you to still get positive HPTs.

I had a chemical pregnancy (early miscarriage - hcg levels didn't go over about 4 weeks and lost baby at 5 weeks), no D&C or complications and hcg was down to a 16 two days later. That was on March 14 and I did not have a cycle between then and getting preggo this month...I took two negative pregnancy tests after CP to make sure I had dropped low enough to get a neg test for my own peace of mind.

I'm basing my due date off of when I started bleeding with CP but I'm VERY nervous. Doctor said when I went in for check up after miscarriage that I could go back to living life normally, no reason to be cautious but I certainly didn't think it would happen this month.

I can't offer you any words of wisdom because I'm in the same boat as you - very nervous and hoping it all turns out okay!

I was 6 1/2 weeks when i miscarried, i had my blood drawn to check the HCG level and i t was like 18, then went back over a week later for a check up appt and blood drawn to check HCG again and i was a 1. i had no signs and did not use protection. when my cycle was suppose to start it did not and had crazy symptoms start back up and the first test i took the first day i was late and it showed nothing, waited and took one the next day and it was very feint line so i got a digital and reg test and took them 2 days later and they deff say i am preg.

I am not sure if my miscarriage was chemical or not they did not say but they did not do a Dand C.

thanks, yea i am nervous too but i feel better about this one, only because everything in my body feels right, i had progesterone level problems to begin with and had to use fertility drugs. before the pregnancy i had no sleep, had to take sleeping meds, was always super anxious, and depressed. but after the miscarry my body feels like it was healed, i have not taken anything to help me sleep at night, no anxiety at all, nothing. i dont feel like this pregnancy will be like the last atleast i hope not, plus after one miscarry i feel like i know what to expect and can be better prepared, i did not plan this pregnancy by no means just was waiting on my period to start and it never did, but all my symtoms are a lot stronger then the last

Congrats on your BFP!

This situation happened to me with DD. I discovered a missed m/c at 11 weeks with my first pregnancy, had a D&C and became pregnant a few weeks later before getting AF. That pregnancy went totally smooth and I had my DD who is now almost 2 1/2.

I did the same thing I was 6 weeks when I had a m/c and got preggers again without a period. THe doctor wanted to do an ultrasound right away which he didn't do last time but every thing is going good, I am 14 weeks now.
