When my DD was 6 mos old she had to start getting 1 bottle of formula day. By 9 mos she was getting 2 and by 11 mos she was getting no BM at daycare. It worked out just fine. I think we had to mix the BM and formula the first couple times, but she was a little piggy and would eat anything as long as it was food.
I'm glad you are asking this because I was just asking. I am wondering how the pumping at work will work out considering the only break I get is lunch.

DD drinks milk/juice/water at daycare and bf when we're home. I gradually dropped a session. My body adjusted fine. There are also times on the weekends or when she's sick that I nurse more often.
We just started this in the last two weeks. For the first week, I did two bottles of breast milk and one bottle of formula. This week, I have been doing all formula at day care. He had no adverse reactions. I nurse in the morning and at night, just twice a day. I went from two/three pumpings to one during the first week and then dropped that pumping session over the weekend. I was a little sore and leaked a little at night but I was fine in a day or so. I have not leaked at work but I used pads all week just in case. It went much smoother than I expected. Good Luck!
DD is FF at daycare and BF at night and one weekends. ?DD adjusted just fine. ?My body adjusted as well. ?While I was pumping at work, leaking was a problem. Within a few days after I stopped pumping, I never leaked again. There was some engorgement during the first few days. ?This actual works out very well for me and DD.
