Talk to me about Letrazole....

Hey all - you can see by my ticker that I am on to my next treatment cycle.  RE wants to do Letrazole this cycle instead of the Clomid I have done for the last 3.  I go in for b/w and u/s tomorrow, but I am wondering if anyone has used Letrazole before and can tell me if you take CD3-7 or 5-9 like Clomid, or if it is different?

Reason being that I am leaving on Wednesday to go OOT, and want to make sure this doesn't interfere with anything. (I don't think it should).

Also, any side effects to expect? TIA!

    I like Letrazole so much better than Clomid!  I take it CD3-7.  I literally have no side effects except for more CM which is a good thing.  No hot flashes or mood swings like I had on Clomid either.  Good luck!

    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

    I'm on it this cycle and taking it days 5-9. No side effects so far (took my last dose last night). and it was only $4.15 at walgreens which was awesome!

    I do CD 3 thru 7. I experienced some pretty awful headaches and other aches and pains, but I also had a really bad cold at the time. It's hard to say which symptoms were from the medication. GL!

    10.2012 Clomid 50mg + TI = BFN

    11.2012 Clomid 50mg + TI = BFN

    12.2012 Clomid 100mg + TI = BFN

    01.2013 First visit with RE

    02.2013 Clomid 150mg + TI = BFN

    03.2013 Femara 5mg + TI = BFN

    05.2013 Femara 5mg + TI = BFN

    06.2013 Femara 7.5mg + TI = BFN

    Please don't get it from Walmart. They will charge you out the ars for it. Walgreens, target and Costco have it for 10 or less depending on dosage.

    For me, I take it cd 3 to 7, two pills at once for 5 mg total. The first two cycles I had some headaches. This cycle I haven't had any side effects. My CM is great and haven't had any lining issues with it at all.



    Me: 32 DH: 31.
    B/W: good. SA: good.
    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    Jordan Samuel born April 19, 2014. 6 lb, 12 oz and 18 inches long.

    I am on 7.5 mg and take it day 3-7.  I had night sweats on the last round, but this round seems to be going good.  No other side effects for me.

    TTC since 12/2011  
    5/4/13-IUI #1=BFN,  6/3/13-IUI #2=BFN, 7/1/2013-IUI #3=BFP!!!

    Lovin' my Femara! Much less demon-lady and fewer hot flashes so it lets you feel better. The days that you take it are just like clomid. Best of luck!

    Me: 06/12 Dx w/ IR PCOS (rx 2000 metformin) DH: SA all clear; looking good
    06/12-10/12- Clomid/Femara + trigger + TI + P4 = 3 BFNs, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, D&C
    11/12 - 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI + P4 = BFN
    12/12 - Surprise BFP ectopic (MTX 01/13)
    04/13 - Off the Bench! 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI #2 + estradiol + P4 = BFN
    05/13 Clear HSG-5 mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + IUI #3 + P4 = BFP ectopic (MTX 07/03 & 07/11)
    07/23 emergency lap to remove ectopic mass and left tube
    10/13 5mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + TI(follie on left/no IUI)=BFN
    11/13 Same as above but BFP!
