DS is 7 1/2 months and taking a half jar of fruit and half jar of veggies around dinner time (total 4 oz/1 jar Earth's Best stage 2). Is this too much? Also feed breakfast (combo of 2 tbs. oatmeal and 2 oz. fruit.
DS is getting 2-3 tbsp of oatmeal 2x a day plus about 2-3 oz of purees in the evenings. I honestly think he would probably eat forever. He's never refused cereal or purees (though, in fairness we are only a couple weeks in). He still drinks about 24-30 ounces a day.
Is it too much? I don't know, but he's gaining average so I imagine it's fine.
As long as LO is still eating the same amount of BM or formula that he/she was before starting solids, then I think you're fine.
My LO is 7 months old, and he eats 2 TBSP of cereal and 2-3 oz of purees at lunch and then 4 oz of purees for dinner. He's eating around 27-30oz of BM. Neither my pedi nor my LC was concerned by him eating that much solids.
