Baby probiotics

Anyone else give their baby probiotics? It's suppose to help babies with constipation, colic and tummy troubles. I started giving my baby probiotic drops for constipation after introducing solids. I use the brand BioGaia probiotic drops and LOVE it! Works soooo great! The only problem is how super expensive it is. The small tiny bottle cost almost $30, and it only last a month is used everyday.

If anyone is also giving their baby probiotics, which brand are you using? I'd like recommendations for another kind that's good and more affordable. TIA! =)

    I don't use probiotics but I know your baby is older and on solids so maybe talk to your pedi about starting yogurt....two birds, one stone. And much cheaper.

    If you are doing any type of cereal Happy Bellies brand has pre and probiotics in their cereals.

    I stopped using biogaia a while back. LO was on it so early I'm not sure it helped her gas. We had her on it at 2 weeks of age until month 4. The only difference I noticed was that her poop smelled like yogurt. It still smells that way. 
     
    I might go back to it when we start solids in a few weeks. I don't know. Any port in a storm when the time comes, I suppose.
