Hello ladies!! So I've been trying to get pregnant for the past 8 months with no luck. Last month I was 5 days late and it broke my heart. I am usually 28-29 days like clock work but last month I was 33. If I were to go by my regular cycle I was due Saturday and so far nothing. I don't feel pregnant or like I'm getting my period....thought I was PMSing early last week but symptoms went away. Should I wait it out the 33 days this time around too or should I test now? I hate to be disappointed again but its seems strange that my cycle would suddenly bounce to 33 days? Please help!!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7
All PgAL and PAL welcome.
I would wait it out as long as possible (see my explanation why below). Unfortunately, cycles can be really wonky at any point or you may have ovulated late this time.
For me, my cycle is 30 days like clockwork as well. I went off birth control in December and the cycles stayed 30 days. I am now going on CD 41 and still nothing. I've taken a test and it was a BFN. This is causing me to actually go crazy.
Good luck to you and I hope you get a BFP instead of AF!

I have a hard time with the basal temps. I can;t read a regular thermometer if my life depended on it and this is sad becuase I work in health care and have for the past 10 years. My husband and I have been having sex every other to every 3 days and I've been tracking my period for years even before trying to conceive. I have 2 daughters already but they are 10 & 12 so my fear is that I spent so many years preventing another pregnancy now whehn I want it it's not happening.
LOL
You're right. That is sad. You're excuse is even sadder. What do you mean you can't read a digital thermometer?
Temping is the only way to know your O date. Even though you're covering your bases with sex, there's really no way we can help answer your questions when you're giving us very little to work with.
Take a test or don't. Either way, wait until CD 60 to call a doctor.

Unless you use the quote button, we don't know who you're talking to. We're not rude. We're honest.
Read the newbie blog. Go to fertilityfriend.com and learn about BBT. Don't blame us for being confused and questioning you when you obviously are misinformed and didn't bother to look up what charting entails.

looking for positive feedback is not the same as looking for honest feedback. This board is nothing if not honest.
This. I honestly didn't think they even sold mercury thermometers anymore, so when I read that you couldn't read a thermometer but are in the medical field, my first reaction was to wonder at quality control at your place of employment. If my nurse at the hospital couldn't read my thermometer, I'd really be concerned!
Anyways, you don't need a mercury therm to temp, you can grab a BBT digi at almost any pharmacy. It's really hard for us to advise you without knowing details from charting. I'll echo what PPs have said and say it's best to wait until the historical longest cycle length to test. It's not at all unheard of for cycles to jump in length and either go back to what is normal or even to stay at the new length. I've typically had 21-23 day cycles with an LP of 11 days. Last cycle was 28 days and my LP was 15 days. No rhyme, no reason, it is what it is.
BTW, this site is full of very knowledgeable and straight-up women. We offer support, but not sugar-coated. We get to know each other very well around here and it is a community. Also, most of us chart/temp. It's the only way to really know what's going on with our bodies. If you care to get real, accurate, and knowledgeable advice, stick around. Read the newbie link, have a look at Fertility Friend, lurk, and get to know how the board works. You could end up learning a ton and really enjoying yourself in the process. If straight-forward and honest isn't your thing, though, then this may not be the site for you.
Good luck!

All ALers welcome!
First this will be my last post. Saddens me that I even tried to reach out to other women who could sympathize with what Im going through.
I've read the "rules" and I just think several of you were being rude and mean just for fun. This is even sadder. We are all adults here with the same common goal. To any of you with positive feed back THANK YOU!! I just wanted a simple answer or oppinion not to be made to feel like an idiot. I work full time and part time and have 2 children so Im sorry "charting" isnt something I found neccessary to fit into my already busy schedule.
Lastly, I work in Cardiology so we don't use thermometers. I also didn't think they still sold them but really honestly never even researched it. That's something my mother did when trying to conceive my brother and just didn't feel it was for me. I looked up if I could use a standard and when it said no I just assumed which I suppose was a mistake. I wish all of you the very best and sadly I will not be returning to the message board again and will be reporting my experience as a negative one. You should be ashamed of yourselves (those of you being mean just for fun). I ahve daughters and Ive taight them how mean girls and woman can be and this proves my point. I hope if you have daughters you teach them better than that.
Wow, okay. No one was mean to you. They were just being honest. If you are getting this butthurt over these <non-mean> responses, this probably isn't the right place for you.
When a PP asked if you were dyslexic, she wasn't being mean, but asking an honest question. People with dyslexia sometimes transpose numbers, so it would make it hard for them to read a thermometer.
What in the holiest of shiiits does this have to do with anything?
Sorry, I don't walk down the street and see a person with kids and go "welp, that woman obviously owns a thermometer".
Mean?
Ha!
Grow up and test whenever you want to test.

Well that was rather rude.
