Its derby week yall!

So this Saturday is the KY derby and its held in louisville, where I live. The city goes crazy this week. There are celebs and uber rich people who come in town. Wednesday they pick the order the horses will run. There is a HUGE parade on Thursday. Everyone is cleaning and pitching in to get the city all shiny. All this to watch about 20 horses run around a track. Lol.

The derby is all people are talking about and come Saturday there will be the craziest hats and outfits. I love this week in louisville!

    Fun! It is probably more fun to visit than it is to live there and deal with a huge amount of visitors though. Will you take LO to the parade?

    I seriously LOVE derby week!! I work for a company that sells horse fencing and we have race horses! This week is like a break for the company because our owner is on cloud 95!! Woohooo Derby Week!!

    No. it gets busy downtown during the parade and its just too many people. Thats mostly because I dont do big crowds well. There is a small parade in about 3 weeks for my neighborhoods yearly festival and it comes down the street in front of my house. We can sit in our own front yard and watch.

    So fun!! I've been twice, it's such a great time!! We do Preakness every year which is the same kind of crowd/atmosphere/etc but just on a much smaller scale. I love a good horse race!

    The Derby the first date for my husband and me. We even had our engagement pictures taken at Churchhill Downs (the one in my siggy was taken in a horse stall)!
