no symptoms this time? help?

Hello ladies, I have a question and would be appreciative of any helpful answers :) Back in early January of this year I had miscarried (d&c) at ten weeks. It was a heartbreaking experience and something i'll never forget. I knew I was pregnant very early on because I had one of "those feelings" you just can't explain. I had strong symptoms with nausea and moodiness. Well today, I found out I'm pregnant again! I am eight weeks along and excited/nervous. The thing is, this time I literally do not "feel" pregnant if that makes sense. I don't have any symptoms besides no period obviously. It scares me because I have no idea if this is bad or good ): Is this normal, to have two different experiences? Thank you!

Re: no symptoms this time? help?

  • From what I've seen in other posts, every pregnancy is different. One woman could be sick as a dog through one and glide through the next, seems to be a crapsshoot. I wouldn't worry too overly much about your lack of symptoms, but if it stresses you too much, you can always call your doctor.

  • I wouldn't think you should worry. I've actually found myself worrying too because except for feeling a little more tired and eating a little more, I feel like my normal self. I think we should be happy and just count our blessings we aren't sick! Every woman is different and every pregnancy for the same woman is even different. The best thing you can do right now is relax and enjoy. Congrats!
  • I'm in almost the exact same situation, except my m/c was in Feb. If you don't have an appt coming up soon, you can ask to have your betas tested. It'll give you an idea of how things are going, but I don't think they consider it a guarantee of how things are going, kwim?

  • I am 11w6d and have yet to have a real symptom... I'm a little more tired and get headaches more often. But I haven't had any morning sickness, cravings, breat tenderness etc. Embrace it and enjoy it. It may not last and symptoms may hit you all at one, or you could be one of the lucky ones.

  • While I was pregnant with #1 and #2 I felt great the whole time.

This time I have been sick the whole time. Every pregnancy is different.  Not being sick does not mean you had a miscarried as there would be signs and symptoms pointing to that- bleeding severe cramping, etc.

Every pregnancy is different. You might be lucky and feel good the whole time. You might get symptoms later. It does not mean there is something wrong when you are not sick.

  • I had no symtpoms with DD. Carried her to full term with no complications. I had no symptoms with my two M/Cs last year and those (obviously) didn't work out. Symptoms don't guarantee a healthy pregnancy and a lack of symtpoms don't guarantee a loss. It's totally normaly to have two different experiences.

  • Every pregnancy is different. I've only been pregnant this one time, but I have days of symptoms and days of no symptoms. I had a hard time believing I was really pregnant until recently. I know it's easier said than done, but don't stress. Congrats!

  • All of my pregnancies have been different. With my miscarriage, I had every symptom in the book from day one. With DS, symptoms really started around 6 weeks. I am currently 6w2d and don't really have many symptoms this time at all.

  • I actually just posted about this on november moms because I am experiencing the same thing. I had some mild symptoms earlier on and over the last couple of days they seem to have tapered off. However, I have seen the heartbeat and have no signs of a mc so I'm just trying to positive and hope all is well and that I'm on the lucky boat of little to no symptoms. I agree with previous posts that we want to use symptoms to verify our pregnancies because we read what is 'normal' and think we should be experiencing all of the same things. What I've learned from these boards is that there is no normal when it comes to pregnancy. Hopefully you will get into the DR office soon and see that little heart beating away!
