And just curious what is a fetal pole

Usually the heart doesnt start beating until 6 weeks. My LO's heartbeat couldnt be detected til after 7 weeks.

Did you do an ultrasound?

I just had an ultrasound and 6 weeks 1 day. We couldn't hear the heart beat but we could see the heart flicker.

Thefetal pole is the beginning of the heart and spinal cord etc., it shows that the embryo is developing.

Yeah I did an ultrasound she said it was too early and to come back in. Few weeks,, did they tell u to come back aswell?? Goodluck

I just had my first u/s at 6w1d and saw the yolk sac and fetal pole, no heartbeat just yet bc I think it was just too soon but my doc said everything looked good. I go back in about 2 weeks though for another u/s so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

At this stage, an hour can be the difference between seeing a heartbeat or not seeing it. It should start within the next week. At this point, you shouldn't worry.
