Morning wakeup time?

Good morning.

Noah was waking up at 7:00 and that was sometimes after his one MOTN feeding around 5ish. Then he started waking at 6:00 but the MOTN wake ups are earlier. Last night he fell asleep at 8 pm, woke up at 12:30 (this has been going on for a few days) and I fed him, woke up at 4 but I soothed back to sleep. So when I fed him at 6, I put him back down and he woke up at 8:20,

I feel like everything is so inconsistent these days. Am I going to confuse him?

I feel like if he gets up at 6 for the day then I should put him to bed a little earlier?

What are you ladies doing?

Re: Morning wakeup time?

  • Sadly, my little guy is never consistent. There are nights where he will STTN or like last night, he woke up 2 times and went to bed the same time he normally does. Didn't eat any more or less then he would before bed any other time. So...I have no idea. I'm just as stumped as you. Lol.

B has been waking up for the day around 8am. Typically we will start his bedtime routine around 830pm (unless he gets fussy before that). It used to take an hour to get him to sleep, but now it's more like 2. I never did sleep training, so when he cries at 1 and 4, I feed him. Some nights he drops that 1 am feeding and on occasion he will drop both. If he wakes up around 6, I will snuggle him up in the rocker with me or bring him to my bed bc this momma doesn't start the day until the sun is up ;)

  • Things are pretty inconsistent here too. We were STTN last week, up twice a night over the weekend, and once last night. And starving at least one of those times. But he's usually up for the day between 7 and 8. This morning is was closer to 6:30 though. We put him down for the night between 7 and 8 depending on how tired he is.

Well, I'm glad it's not just me. He was more consistent at 3 months old, haha.

Down at 6:30, up at 6:30 the next day.  I wish we old push both back but I'm not going to complain.

  • C goes to bed every night at 7:30 and usually sleeps till 5. This morning she woke at 4;15 and I fed her and she went back till 8.  I tried to calm her but I feel that she's hungry at 5 am after going to bed at 7:30.  Im just not sure what to do.
  • Well, all I can say is that I'm so glad I'm not the only one!  LO is all over the place, and all those sleep books telling me they should be able to sleep 8-12 hours at this age are really beginning to tick me off!!

Maybe for you that recent 12:30 feeding is a growth spurt?  hope he drops it again soon for you...

My LO goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:15.  and gets up at 6 or 6:30am, but she is up for only like 45 minutes before going back to sleep for another hour or hour and a half. She tends to wake up about every 2 hours all night long (though she usually has 1 stretch that is 4 hours, just it is inconistent which stretch it will be).  I usually feed her around 1am and 6am plus sometimes in the middle there around 3 or 4 if she is just screaming and all our other tricks haven't worked.
