essential oil?

in 1st Trimester

Hello!

 I am 4weeks pregnant and i apply essentail oil (2 drops of lavender + 15 drops of water) every day on my face and neck to avoid acne. 

Is it safe to use this amount? i have appointment with doctor on wed(May 10th) i will check with him too but could not wait for a answer

Internet has mixed reviews.

Could u please advice.

    Essential oil companies recommend not using lavender (among several others) during pregnancy, though in this case, i'm not sure why.  My mw said i could use whatever i wanted for aromatherapy, but i did not ask about using topically, since i only use very dilute EOs (in soap, etc.).  If you have a natural foods store nearby, they may have a specialist trained in herbs, etc. who could give you more info between now and when you talk to your ob.

    My doctor told me not to. He said there isn't enough research on it during pregnancy
