Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Rant

Sorry to those of you who hate these things but I'm just sooooo p*ssed off at the moment, DH and I dropped DD off at Nana's house (DH's mother) so we could have a date day, ad she got her new bottles (this I didn't know about). So we pick her up today and she told me DD ate great and napped great! Yay perfect! Then she tells me about these new bottles she go for her because she had got the wrong nipples for the ones we have been using. Oh crap I hope she still likes the ones I have at home for her...

 Nope.

Tonight I go to feed her before bed and she won't take the bottle :/ she is screaming her head off, pushing the bottle away everything.  Se got so hysterical that she spit up everything that she had gotten in her belly. So I calmed her down and tried again and again the same thing. Grrr I can't believe this! So I put her to bed, she fell aleep and I know I'm going to be getting up multiple times tonight (she has been STTN since about 7 weeks). And DH has no idea why I'm upset! Which makes me more upset and then he throws my face that she watches DD while I'm at work! Ugh. What would you ladies do about this? We have been using one type of bottle for almost 5 months now and I don't really want to change. Plus she is going to stay with my mom next weekend while I'm away at a wedding and I don't want to have to worry about this all weekend. TIA

Re: Rant

  • Maybe she's just having a bad night. I don't bottle feed, so I'm not going to be that much help, but I didn't think they would refuse a bottle they've been using for that long just because they tried a different one. I could be completely wrong though because like I said, I don't bottle feed. I hope your DD is just having a bad evening and everything works out!

  • Sorry but you're reading WAY too much into her off night.  There are almost zero situations in which exposure to one different thing on one day will undo something that's the norm.  Lots of kids switch bottles and then do bottles and sippies and then do all different sippies and straw cups. I'm team husband.
