I was just wondering what your LO's symptoms were? How did they do on the Zantac and how long did it take to see improvement?

  
  
  My DD had reflux pretty bad. She was on Zantac from about 2 months until 11 months. DS has it now, and he's been on it for about 4 weeks now. I noticed improvement a couple days after we started it.
  
  Both babies were fussy during feeding, arching their backs and screaming in pain. I can literally hear my son "gurgle." Some babies will spit up, and some won't.

  both my babies had/have reflux. my first would spit up multiple times after every feeding in large quantities, she would arch and cry after feedings and had that gurgle sound after feedings and would cry when that happened. she was on zantac till around 4 months
  
  this baby NEVER spits up, but would cry, cough, stiffen up and throw her head around after feedings. she would burp and cry afterwards. i would burp her after a feeding, up right, and she would be fine, but as soon as i laid her down she would scream.... she also had that gurgle sound when i laid her down. it took three days on the zantac and she was a different baby. she just recently outgrew her dose and we had to up it.
  
  give zantac a try, theres very little side effects, try it for a week, if it helps great, if not you can stop

  My dd has been on it a week. She's still fussy at times, but it seems to have taken the edge off a little. I hear her gurgling, she arches her back, throws up. They had her tested for pyloric stenosis due to the throwing up, but she doesn't have it.

  just started zantac yesterday.

  symptoms were: arching back while trying to burp, decrease in amount of formula intake w/ increase in frequency of feedings (use to eat 3oz every 3-4, but for past week 1-2oz every 1 1/2-2hrs), coughing/gagging randomly w/ sour look on face like she just swallowed something bad, frequent swallowing, sour breath, wet burps, noisy breathing after feeding like something stuck in airway

  We just stared DD on the Zantac last week. She is fussy after feedings, arching her back and def had the gurgle you all speak of along with raspy chest sound.

  Is anyone having trouble with their LO getting it down? She HATES taking it. If you have any suggestions with helping her get it down without spitting it out i would love to hear them! I do try to give it to her before a feeding, that way she nurses right after.
