We're a huge fan of outdoor toys now that the weathers getting warmer. Chalk and bubbles are great! We also got him a Mickey scooter from target that he's liking so far. For more active you could try those catchers that are Velcro so when you throw the ball it sticks.
We love Melissa and Doug - chunky puzzles, lacing beads, wooden blocks, magnetic hide and seek puzzles, art supplies, stacking rings, gear toys, cutting food, tunnel.
Other things he loves: sandbox, water table, slide, play kitchen, vacuum, Duplos, simple puzzles, books, xylophone, Alex balance board, balls, Green Toys cars and trucks, Alex peg board, Mr. Potato Head, Strider balance bike.
Some things on my to buy list include waffle blocks, bristle blocks, and Melissa and Doug cupcake set.
Favorite is a computer by fisher price that does ABC's, 123, a few games, and music and such. He loves it. Also loves his cars and trucks, ball pit, slide.
Cars and trains for sure. He walks around the house carrying Hot Wheels cars all the time. For trains, he loves the wooden Chuggington ones we have.
For outside, he loves the Cozy Coupe and other scoot ride-on toys, sidewalk chalk, balls and just running around outside.
Also he loves puzzles and books.
We have a Strider bike for him, but he's not that into it yet. And he doesn't want to ride the tricycle because he can't hold the handlebars and toy cars at the same time. This boy only turns loose of the cars at night because the cars sleep in the car box.
My DS loves the Farm Refrigerator toy, his alphabet toy by LeapFrog, Play-Doh, he loves coloring, he loves throwing around balls, he also loves his MegaBlocks.
