I went in for a scheduled induction on April 23rd at 41 weeks. When I got to the hospital I was already 4 cm dilated but not having many contractions. They started Pitocin at 9:00 and the doctor said he thought labor would move quickly. The contractions were strong and close together. I got an epidural around 12:00 and it finally started working around 2:00. I was checked again at 2 and was only dilated to a 5. I was disheartened at that point because I thought I would have made progress much faster. At 3:50 the doctor came in to check me again. Much to my surprise he said that I would have a baby by 4! I didn't believe it until she was born at 3:58. Molly weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and is 21" long. We are both doing very well and I am loving being a mom of 2. My daughter has done really well and loves to hold and help change the baby.
Here is the picture of both girls.
Hopefully the picture works!
