Cloth Diapering

Cloth wipe materials

I was gifted some cloth wipes that are flannel on one side and terry cloth on the other. And freaking adorable too! Which material is best for what? Does it matter? What do you use? I'm using them dry, that's ok right?

Terry for initial wipes of big messes, flannel for the remaining cleanup.  You CAN use them dry, but they clean better wet.  You can just use a spray bottle to wet them down before you use them.

  • We have flannel wipes.  I just squirt them with plain water from a peri bottle as we go.  They work really well on EBF poop.  We don't warm them and Sully does't fuss a bit.

  • Thanks! I'll have to figure something out about using them wet. Despite washing multiple times, the flannel left lots of lint behind.
