Especially if they are the same sex. I have 2 kids already (DD-5 and DS-14 months) and I am due with boy #2 in July. I don't find myself interested in buying anything really. I know I want to buy a double stroller and a better monitor but even those aren't necessary.
I have clothes, toys, cloth diapers, bottles, bassinet etc. I feel like I should be buying things but I'm not really sure what.

Re: Do you find yourself not buying a lot for LO#2?
If I was having another boy, I wouldn't be buying anything except a double stroller (eventually) and a swing (because we didn't have one for DS). And we just got a video monitor, but that was actually because I wanted to watch DS, and I just used LO2 as an excuse to get it.
But I'm having a girl, so I'm having fun buying clothes.
BFP #1 : 05.08.11 : EDD : 01.16.12 : DOB : 01.15.12
BFP #2 : 12.26.12 : EDD : 09.08.13 : DOB : 09.03.13
I am having a second boy and feel like I am not planning to buy anything, They will only be two months apart with their birthdays so his clothes will be seasonally close enough that I won't need to buy anything else, and DS#2 will be in with us until DS #! moves into his "Big Boy bed", so we are not buying any extra nursery furniture.
I might buy a double stroller, but we are waiting until after DS #2 gets here to see if we need it (DS#1 will be 21-22 months my then), and I may get more diapers & wipes (we cloth diaper, but I don't plan on DS#1 being in diapers for long after DS#2 is born)
So all in all, I can't see me needing anything for DS#2, I feel bad, but I am sure we will get a few things in the end, at the very least we will buy him a Little Brother T-shirt

Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.I'm having another boy who will be 25 months younger than DS1, so his clothing seasons will be all the same as DS1's. It's incredibly convenient because I have needed to buy zero clothes.
This time around, I did get a very good double stroller since we use ours a lot. But otherwise, most of our purchases have been to replace things that have worn out since DS1 was a baby or to get a second of whatever we need more of: 2nd humidifier, replace the fan in the nursery, upgrade to a video baby monitor that can take two cameras, more Vitamin D drops, more baby care products, diapers, a 2nd baby mirror for the car, replace pacis, bottle nipples, and pump parts, etc.
We've actually spent more money on DS1 as he's entering the toddler stage and has a need for older kid stuff.
