My guy really prefers the bottle over solid food and is taking 2530 oz a day of BM mixed with almond milk. This seems like a lot. He also can't seem to figure out the Sippy but that's another issue.
If I offer him solid food when he's clearly hungry he freaks out until he gets a bottle.
Anyone deal with this and how much are your LOs drinking?
Re: How much milk does your 12m/o drink?
DS was drinking around 21-24 ounces at that point - I think the pedi wanted him down to around 20, since they are supposed to be getting more calories from solids.
Can you try to feed him earlier, before he gets too hungry? Maybe try yogurt?
We have kind of a unique issue with the sippy cups: he can get liquid out of any kind of cup, but he doesn't seem to "get it" that he should swallow it, so he just gets a mouthful then lets it run down his front. He's been practicing with them for about 6 months and that's still going on. I'm really not sure what to do about it!
Meanwhile, all I can think to do is water down the milk so he's not getting so full and maybe this will trigger some interest in solids.
It's just so charming that his issues are completely different than DS#1. I have to deal with a whole new set of vexing behaviors!
