What do you use?
Last check-up (a month ago today), DS was 31.5in long and 21lbs
10oz, ~15th percentile. He needs at least 12 month pants for length and wears 12-18
month jeans from old navy, but if the pants
don't have a super stretchy elastic waist, they slide right off when he
crawls. 9 month pants would probably fit his waist
better. He has skinny chicken legs.
We used Pampers Swaddlers up until size 3. They started leaking when he got more mobile with rolling and trying to crawl, so I switched. I tried Pampers Cruisers and they were ok, but he was getting red marks on his thighs. I switched to Huggies Little Movers because I found them to be a little more narrow in the portion between the legs and the red marks on his thighs went away. Then I tried Huggies Baby Dry (since they were a little less expensive) and they worked, so we have been using those for about 6 months or so now. However, they recently started leaking. I tried Luvs this last box, and they are ok as long as I change them every 2hrs. Any longer and they leak. He absolutely cannot wear them for naps or overnight.
I don't know where to go from here. Recommendations?
Re: Diapers for thin boys?
Likewise. DS is super long and thin. He is in 18-24 mo pants, and has the same issue of everything falling down on him. Costco diapers are our saviour. we had a lot of diaper issues until we start using them. C
Do you have to have the membership to buy on-line? Probably?
L has also been in size 4 for months now for length. He's just now almost at the minimum weight suggested on the packaging. I tried going up to size 5 a couple weeks ago, but they were so huge.
Have you always used that brand? If so, have you noticed a difference at different ages/sizes?
We got a big pack of BRU brand diapers when he was a newborn and I ended up throwing the last quarter of the package out. It was like he was wearing nothing at all. Leaked through every. single. one.

PM'd you!
I have heard good things about Honest Diapers, but aren't they expensive? How much would you say you pay per month?
I also am not a fan of subscription services because I always forget to call and postpone/cancel and end up getting charged unnecessarily. I wish they would carry them in stores!
You cost per month really depends on your diaper usage. The charge $79.95 for 6 packs of diapers (31 in a pack for size 4) and 4 packs of wipes. We don't normally need an order every month. We can go 6-8 weeks between orders, so that brings the cost down per month. If you do a cost per diaper, it comes out to about $0.37 per diaper. This is comparable to the price of buying seventh generation or earth's best diapers from amazon.
Here is the breakdown I use (in case you are a math person like me):
$79.95 - $10 (estimate for wipes at $2.50/pk) = $69.95
Total diapers = 31 diapers per pack x 6 packs = 186
$69.95/186 = 0.37 per diaper
As for the subscription service, I find it manageable. You can manage everything except for cancellation online. They send you an email about a week before your order is supposed to ship so you can update your bundle. You can change patterns or size or even change the ship date further out. Every time you get within a week of your ship date, they send you a reminder. We have been using the diapers for over a year and I think I bought one small pack of diapers to cover us one time because shipping was taking longer than normal.

months he was 22.4 and we were a are still using Huggies Little Movers Slipons size 4. I love them and they are easy to slip on and then have tabs on the sides to take off when he's in need of a diaper change. We went to size 4 before recommended weight because he was leaking and for fit.
