Pot smoke

I'm so upset! we moved apartments because of the bad cigarette smoke coming through our apartment vents and our new apartment has a lot of pot smoke coming through the bathroom vent now! I'm really worried about my baby. I've complained to the office in my managed apartment building but they just keep saying there isn't anything they can do because they can't tell where it's coming from. we just moved in. what do I do? will lo be okay?

    Can you report it to the police?
    Marijuana is not legal federally, even if allowed by state.

    That's what I would do! You shouldn't have to deal with that. Maybe letting the office know that you will be contacting the police will kick their butts in to gear and make them do something about it!

    That might help. But I live in San Francisco where everyone has a medical marijuana card and medical marijuana is legal here. The police seem to turn a blind eye to marijuana use. People smoke it in public places all the time here, on the bus, at outdoor events...

    Seems like there is a problem with the venting if you have actual smoke coming into your bathroom from another unit. I'd ask the apartment manager to bring someone in to make sure things are vented properly.

    I work in property management and that is a hugely irresponsible thing for your apartment management to say. I wouldn't take that crap for a minute. I would approach them again about the ventilation.

    Can you shut that vent off? Would threatening to go to the police work with the management? I would flip if that smoke was coming through my living place with dd!

    Unfortunately it's not something you can shut off since its like this vent opening in the ceiling of my bathroom. Turning the fan on is suppose to air out then bathroom but it seems to make it worse. I'm going to have maintanence come and make sure it's working properly and not sucking air in which it seems to be doing.

    honestly, i'd be way more concerned if it was cigarette smoke.
