I am expecting my 2nd LO sept. 22. My DD was born at 36 weeks gestation via emergency c-section due to fetal distress. My OBGYN never figured out why it happened, other than when it came for her to produce her own glucose everything went haywire. I will be meeting up with a fetal specialist soon. But has anyone here had a vbac after a preemie? My obgyn said I wasn't the best or worst candidate for a vbac. I would like to try vbac, yet I am concern about uterine rupture. Any advice? Thanks.
Re: Vbac after a preemie, new intro
Hi, my 1st was born at 31w5 days via csection due to hellp syndrome. I just had my 2nd vbac. This time I went to a MFM dr. Because I wanted to have someone to keep an eye on things and also because MFM are the only ones that do vbac at my hospital.&nbs
This is only anecdotal, but from all the birth stories I've read over the years, I have never read that a previous preemie was a reason not to be able to have a VBAC. I read many a story of successful VBACs after such situations!
