Hi Moms and Dads!
I'm a graphic design student from Chicago and I'm working on redesigning the packaging of Enfamil for a school project. As I don't yet have any children, I don't know much about the product and would really appreciate any insight from you parents. I have a couple of key questions but any other feedback/ opinions would be super helpful.
Do you use Enfamil, why or why not?
What makes you choose one formula over the other?
What do you like specifically about the brand you use?
Does advertising play any role in the brand you use?
How do you feel about the packaging design of baby formulas?
Thank you so much for your help!
Re: Design Student Needs Your Help for Redesign of Baby Formula
I use Gerber. We had WIC (still could if I felt like sitting there for upwards of 3 hours on metal chairs) and Gerber is what WIC pays for.
What I like most about Gerber is that it doesn't give him gas or make him cranky. We temporarily switched to store brand Gerber equivalent and I had a totally different baby, so we went back to brand name.
Advertising doesn't play a role.
I like the big package of Gerber because the lid is easy open and there's a hook for the scoop. It's convenient when making a bottle one-handed and I don't get powder on my fingers.
The only Enafamil available on my town was 30 for a small can of power so even if it had cuter packaging there wasn't a chance I'd be buying it.
The baby on the similac can was pretty cute tho.
