Lovey

Has anyone else had trouble getting your LO to take a lovey? I got DS a little blankie when he was 6 months old but he has never really liked it. When I tuck it between us during nursing he usually ends up flinging it around, and when I leave it in the crib he throws it out when he gets mad. He does not snuggle it! He isn't super into any of his stuffed animals either. When he's nursing he strokes [or yanks] my hair, but obviously that can't go into the crib with him. I've thought about maybe trying a doll but didn't like anything at Target and I'm not sure where else to look. Any ideas? TIA.

    My DD1 has only recently become attached to her "blankie" - I just keep putting them both down with the same things, and if they start using it as a lovey, great.

    I tried a couple different things for lovies and none of them work with DS. He doesn't like anything to be in his crib and throws out anything I put in there.

    ETA: Unless you count a paci as a lovie, he uses one for naps and at night. Yay fo

    DS alternates favorites that he carries around but he does not have one toy that he prefers for bed. He doesn't even want to be covered at all most of the time (He gets warm quickly).

    I imagine your LO will eventually pick something up. I would

    DD was never attached to anything (gave up the paci at 3 mo), but just last week, the neighbor girl gave her a little stuffed Tigger and she can't get enough. I'm sure he'll randomly pick up something.

    DS still loves his monkey Wubbanub. He also stole my really soft throw blanket and drags it all over the house.
