Can anyone commiserate? I've heard it's fairly normal for boys, but it is stressing me out. He has about 4-5 words - mama, dada, nana, bowow, and then he says lala for anything that interests him (no idea why). He's doing great with his other milestones, and I think he is normal developmentally besides this, but it still makes me worry. He's also taken to biting, probably because he's frustrated by his inability to express himself verbally. Fun times.

I find that my DD says the same words over and over and then every now and then slips a new one in...to the point where we say "did she just say that?" And then she won't say that new word again for awhile.

My DS is like yours. He has maybe 8 words that he says consistently. We just had our 18 month check-up yesterday and before you bring your child in they mail you a questionnaire to fill out about their milestones and development. DS is doing really wel
DS isn't talking either. Like hardly at all. He says dada, but that's about it. He says uh oh and wow sometimes, but those are really infrequent too. A few months ago he was saying mama and dog infrequently, but hasn't said either since.
