I hate the word...

Breech! I just had my 16 week ultrasound at the MFM specialist and they made sure to tell me the baby was breech. I'm freaking 16 weeks, that baby is moving all over the place! I just hate that they use that term so early on, especially knowing I'm trying to VBAC. I know it means nothing, but it's still frustrating. :

    Just remove the word from your mind.  It is meaningless to talk about a baby being breech at 16 weeks.  They are moving all the time.   If the baby had happened to be vertex would the have told you that?   If w

    I know, I know. The doc didn't mention it only the u/s tech. She even noted it on the screen and put the picture in my file. No worries here though. Thanks for the reassurance. :

    Mine was breech at my 20 week U/S but has since flipped. They may still be scheduling another at 34 weeks to confirm position but also to make sure that there is a proper amount of AF this time around.
    "What are you having?" "Well the radiologist says its a healthy little human baby. I'm a little disappointed, because I really wanted a puppy." LOL

    I was annoyed when I was told dd was breech at 29 weeks. She flipped like 2 days later unfortunately she did again about 8 weeks later. Why even mention it at 16 weeks?

    my twins were beach at a 38 week ultrasound and flipped... they have to note the position of the baby every time in their files just cause it is required.... Don't just think about the fact that the baby is healthy and moving all over...

    She probably just mentioned it just to let you know how baby is lying. Don't freak. When I had my 20 week she mentioned baby was head down...it wasn't a positive thing or a negative. Just an observation she had to note and shared with me.
