Crawling and foods

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Baby J is 6 months now and is sitting up on his own and rolling over both ways.  He scoots backwards but has a hard time moving forward unless there is a stable surface he can push off from. Are anyones little ones to the rocking back and forth stage or on the verge of crawling? What can I do to help him?

My other question is what other types of food or forms of food have y'all introduced to your 6 ish month old? 

What kinds of things should not be given or you've had a  bad experience with giving your 6ish month old?

    That's how my LO's crawling started too.  Don't worry, one day he'll just start crawling and then you'll miss the days when you could put him down and he'd still be in the same spot where you left him!
