DH is not the sharpest tool in the shed

DH is swapping weekends with BM because I have a PTA convention out of town and he?s coming with me. Even though my kiddos are going to my parents? for the weekend, DH wanted to be courteous and ask BM if she would be willing to swap weekends as to avoid a fight later about K going to my folks?. I told him to get the agreement in writing through email or text, but does he listen? Nope. She agreed verbally to the swap, but in writing said, "I will of course keep K for you the first weekend in May. We can talk about swapping some other time".

The paralegal in me sees right through her text. She?s not agreeing to swap. She?s agreeing to take DH?s weekend for him and agreeing to "talk" about swapping later. He?s going to get screwed and it?s his own fault. Let?s see, it?s been 5 years and he hasn?t learned yet. Are we taking bets on if he figures this crap out before K turns 18?

    I hope he figures it out before that, but really he should know by now. I would start a "whenever BM goes back on her word I get a massage" thing. Or insert whatever thing you like doing.

    Don't you HATE being right?  It's my least favorite thing in BF some days....seeing things that DH is blind to - even when his experience should tell him otherwise.  Maddening!

    I don't know why you would even worry about this.  He probably doesn't care that is probably why he let it happen that way.  Really, it's one weekend out of the year in which he is choosing to go out of town and not take his daughter.  Why
