Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Please help my child sleep!!!!!!

My LO is almost 10 months old. He used to be a pretty good sleeper - would STTN. Now, he is waking 2-3 times a night, once to feed at 12am. I cant get him to drop that one - he just screams and screams if I dont feed him. Ive tried rubbing his back and everything else but its no use. I have let him CIO before but he literally cries for 45 minutes and I cave. I do put him to bed asleep - and I know I should not. Any help you can offer? I know its seperation anxiety and I feel terrible letting him cry. Any help would be great.

  • Wow, I would love to only be woken up 2-3 times a night! Honestly, it sounds very  developmentally appropriate. I wouldn't mess with things if I were you. Babies usually drop most if not all of their nighttime wakings once they can walk.

  • I know babies go through sleep phases where it may be awesome and then real crappy for a week or 2.  My LO has them now and again, too.  Do you have a bedtime routine? Could he be waking from being too hot or cold?  Usually when my LO wakes

  • My LO just went through this last month and I thought I was going to pull my hair out! It will not last long, trust me. Just go with the flow, if he needs to eat then feed him. Also, try getting him to bed when he's drowsy instead of fully asleep.

  • My daughter is almost 11 months old and the same thing is happening with us. Whatever you described is exactly how we are, and i just accepted the fact that i have towake up in the middle of the night. I think it will also pass. Good luck to both of us!
  • If you are sure your baby is getting enough to eat during the day (both bm/formula and solids) then he may be eating out of habit or because it's his go-to for comfort in the motn. Before I went hardcore with sleep training, nothing worked to put my LO

  • Oh, I also wanted to say that even though we didn't nurse to sleep for naps after the first month, we did nurse to sleep at bedtime until my LO started refusing that nursing about a month ago. That meant that the majority of the time we put him down for b
