  • I did ok this week.  I only worked out twice, but my eating was fairly good until today.  I may have partook in too much wine last night and woke up hungover.  And when I'm hungover, my go-to breakfast is something greasy and delicious from McDonald's with a fountain coke... and that's exactly what I had.  *sigh*  I'm planning to behave through the weekend though, and I'm not planning to do any drinking.  We'll see... Wink

  • doglover- How is your back feeling?  Did you make it to the gym like you wanted to?

    THe back is much better! Thanks for asking...I guess it was just sore because I'm not used to lifting heavy objects! I made it to the gym yesterday and today! I so wanted to stay in bed this morning but I made myself get up and go. Now I just have to resist the Krispy Kreme doughnuts a patient brought in!

    A fountain coke is one of my favorite things to drink when I'm not feeling well! Hope you feel better!

    Nothing better than nice greasy food after a night of drinking!!!  That is our go to place too!

    It is going well.  I skipped Tuesday because of a migraine, but got right back at it yesterday.  I was cardio recovery yesterday so it wasn't too bad...except for making my quads really really burn.  Gotta build up those muscles I guess.  Apparently my shoulders suck too!

    Not packed even a little bit :S.  I leave Sunday and only am there through Wednesday and attire is what I would normally wear to work so that should be pretty easy to pack up in a jiff!!

    Hope you ladies have an absolutely fabulous weekend.  I won't have my computer with me but I will definitely be mobile bumping!!

    mattsgirl- How are you feeling? Were you able to get anymore workouts in? I know it's hard to have motivation to do anything when you're not feeling well. ((Hugs)) Have you been able to stick to a healthy diet?

    I'm feeling much, much better!  I think my "illness" was a combination of the hcg trigger shot and my new IF meds.  My body seems to be getting used to it all and I feel more like myself.  I only got 3 workouts in this week, but my last 2 workouts were great.  I have stuck to my diet this whole week and am feeling really good.  :)

    I'm glad you're feeling better!!  3 workouts are better than no workouts.  Way to go on sticking to your diet, it's amazing how much better we feel when you have a healthy diet! Big Smile

    I'm glad you were able to pick right back up the next day.  I know sometimes when you have an un-planned day off from working out it can be a challenge to get back on the horse right away... at least for me anyway. Stick out tongue

    I have to have class on Saturday, so that's thrown off my weekend workout schedule some. Plus DH is sick and I'm starting my FW tomorrow. So though I did get in a couple workouts this week, I'm probably going to just chill this weekend and BD as my exercise. ;) 

    And DH and I totally killed the last 4 of those cookies this afternoon... I guess it's about time to make more!

    Igoo- Have you made anything else using the coconut oil? I'm so glad you and your family like it! How did you do with your diet this week?

    I used it to make scallops and roasted vegetables last night. Delicious! I've been using it anywhere I'd use olive oil, and I like the flavor a lot better than olive oil.

    I wasn't very careful with actual calorie-counting, but I was a lot better about choosing better foods. For now, I'm avoiding gluten (but not eliminating) and I'm going to cut out alcohol. 

    I've also just been a lot more active with spring cleaning and walking. I just weighed myself, and I lost about .5 lb since Monday even with drinking last night. I'm happy with that since I really didn't make much of an effort!

    I got my iron checked last yesterday, and it's almost normal, so my NP said I can start running as long as it's slow paced. If the rain stops, I'm going to start c25k today!




     

     

    Congrats on the .5 lbs, it's always refreshing to see some weight loss when you're not expecting it. Wink  I hope it stops raining so you can start the C25K program, good luck!!

    I was thinking of taking "before" and "after" pics of my back side to see if I can tell a difference after 30 days.

  • Hi Ash and other ladies. Hope you are all doing well. I am laughing over your post about drinking too much wine and then having McD's for breakfast. I wanted McD's so badly this morning.

     samjen- Have you started jogging or anything yet in preparation for your 5k?  How did your eating go the rest of the week?

    I jogged a mile yesterday and then walked a mile. The weather has been nicer this week but it was a bit windy so I used the treadmill. It felt good to jog and I'm looking forward to getting outside more now as the weather warms up. I have been doing good this week, posting on mfp almost every day and staying under my calorie count for the most part. I really wanted icecream last night but instead I had some sugar free chocolate pudding.

    My ankle is still bugging me from my ride, so I haven't made it to the gym yet. I don't have to tape it anymore, so I should be good to go soon.

    Most of the week I've been doing pretty well with eating, but we had some friends over for dinner last night and they brought the most amazing brownies. Guess what I had for breakfast this morning.

    Oh well, back on track now.

    Aww, sorry about your ankle.  I hope it gets better soon so you can get back to the gym!

    Hi Ash and other ladies. Hope you are all doing well. I am laughing over your post about drinking too much wine and then having McD's for breakfast. I wanted McD's so badly this morning.

     samjen- Have you started jogging or anything yet in preparation for your 5k?  How did your eating go the rest of the week?

    I jogged a mile yesterday and then walked a mile. The weather has been nicer this week but it was a bit windy so I used the treadmill. It felt good to jog and I'm looking forward to getting outside more now as the weather warms up. I have been doing good this week, posting on mfp almost every day and staying under my calorie count for the most part. I really wanted icecream last night but instead I had some sugar free chocolate pudding.  

    Hey samjen! Great job on the running, I want a treadmill so bad.  I can't wait till it starts warming up consistently so I can get outside and run.   I'm proud of you for resisting the ice cream and opting for the sugar free pudding!!

    This sounds interesting but I feel like I wouldn't be able to walk down stairs, let alone do more squats after day 2, I'd be so sore. Part of me would love to say I'm in on this challenge if a group of us do it, but the other part of me is like "yeah, let me know how that goes". Ha ha. I might need some convincing but I will say that my butt and thighs are definitely my problem area.

  • I failed epic-ally at eating right and exercising the rest of the week. and I just at Long John Silver's for lunch.

    I need something to spark the diet again.

    You should do it with us! You can always just do as many squats as you can! And there are rest days!

    You don't necessarily have to do them all in a row!  You could start off trying just to do sets of 10 here and there until you reach your goal for the day. Smile

    It's so hard to jump back in on a diet once you slip up.  You can do it though, think about where you're at and where you want to be.  I believe in you!

    I just worked on Monday and Tuesday...kind of crapped out after that. I did lose 1.6 this week, but I attribute it to eating WW all week. I will be back on the saddle next week for sure. I'm loving the minivacay right now!! Have a great weekend, ladies!!

    Well, I may have gone to dinner with an old friend last night and I may have eaten a burger with bacon and porkroll on it... Whoops... But, I'm making chicken when I get home tonight and I still had my healthy lunch today. May work out tomorrow, may pick back up Sunday or Monday. Blech. I made myself hair and makeup appts. for tomorrow to help me feel a little better. Thanks!!

    I am replying really late...

    I ended up with 183 minutes of exercise which is pretty good considering how I felt this week and better than nothing!

    I also ended up getting my bike out today and riding for 25 minutes so that was awesome!

    183 minutes is pretty darn good!  Great job!! Smile
