Babies: 3 - 6 Months

going back to work. :"

I am going back to work in 21/2 weeks and IM FREAKING OUT. I love my job but I love my baby more of course. I am mostly afraid because I have been with my son everyday sense he was born and he is I guess some ppl called spoild he likes to be held a sertin way I have to hold him for about 15min before putting him down when he falls asleep. And when ppl he dosent know well hold him he crys. I just want him to be ok at the babysitters and Im nervous about the first day. I'm sure I'm going to cry. What do I do? P.S my husband says I can take off tell he is a year but we are in the prossess of buying a new home and I don't wanna put everything on him.

  • I was the same way, my son is 5 months now and he started daycare at 3 months. I was the only one who could get him to sleep and spent every minute with him. I cried and called the daycare his first two days, but he's been thriving, he eats and naps for them and is socializing with the other babies. I just hope you know your LO has taken a bottle! You don't want their first bottle to be when you're not around. Mine had, but I heard there was a new baby at the daycare that wouldn't take a bottle and no one knew until that first day!

  • I know what u r going thru! I went back April 2nd and my job is a very stressful one for me to begin with. Oh the dread! I cried but DD was fine. I typed 3 pages of instructions for the babysitter. Now I look back and they were totally unnecessary except it really did make me feel better about leaving. I used to always work late but now I leave right at the end of my contract day and race home to be w her. You will be fine and so will baby! Just live for the weekends and nights to cuddle. It makes u appreciate all of your time together. Hugs to u!!!!
