Drop Off Resume?

I'm a teacher looking for a new job, and my top choice just posted a listing.  I have the opportunity to drop off my r?sum? in person tomorrow and I've worked with the principal in the past (of course she may not be in the building when I stop by).  However, I'm worried that it might look desperate or strange.  Thoughts?

    Also: I am still waiting for two letters of recommendation.  I automatically thought I should wait to send any resumes out until I have all my recommendations, but my sister said to include names of references and say the letters will be mailed separ

    That's how I landed my job!  We actually I went in with my resume.  The secretary was the only one there and so I left my resume with her.  I followed up with an e-mail to the principal 2 days later.  Don't worry about the references.&

    How does the posting indicate to submit the application?  If the applications are to be sent elsewhere (such as a central HR office), I would probably advise against dropping the resume off at the school.  In my experience with hiring (both in K

    Thanks for all the responses.  The listing says to send letter of intent, resume, and references to the school.  I wonder if I could just list my references and send the letters separately.  Unfortunately, due to the location of the scho

    You should follow the directions for submission listed in the ad. If they say to send the resume to X location, then send it there. I dislike having resumes dropped off at our office, because our recruiter is in another location and we then have t
