What do you do for a living? I hate my job and think it would be nice to see what some of you ladies do.

  • I was a teacher. Ive taught K-12 and adults.

    Now I write while staying home with the baby.

  • I've been in the animal field for 11 years now. Minimum wage store clerk at small time pet stores, kennel assistant at veterinary hospitals, volunteer docent and keeper's aide at two zoos. In 2006 I landed my dream job as an exotic veterinary technicia

  • I'm a quality reviewer for a federal government agency. Super tedious and boring. The only things I like are the paycheck and the maternity leave.

     

  • I'm a regional business manager for two surgical centers. Although this isn't my calling, it pays well and supports my family. In this ecomony, I can say I'm blessed to have a job but I can't help to wish to have a job I actually love.
  • Accounting/finance for hotel restaurant company . I actually do a lot of collecting activities , which I hate, but everything else is interesting

  • I taught 4th grade for 7 years. SAHM now. I miss the kids but not the crazy politics and insane state testing!

  • I work in human resources. I hate my job. My degree is in economics, but without a masters, its mostly useless, and I can't go back right now.

  • I am a lender for a bank. I hate the projects I work on and everything about the job, but it pays well, I carry the benefits and I have lots of vacation and paid time off. I would love to SAH.

  • I work as a landscape labourer at a 12 acre show garden in BC, Canada. I love my job, especially the people I work with. In Canada if we have enough hours we're able to take a years maternity. I'm loving the time off with my DS but I miss working outside

  • Post Partum RN. Will be going back "casually" ... A few shifts a month when my year long mat leave ends. I can take an extra 3 months of leave, 15 months total due to DS being born 3 months early, but its unpaid leave after my year is up :(

  • Right now I'm a SAHM. I just finished my bachelors degree in elementary education. So, I'm now trying to find a teaching position. Hopefully I will have a job for the upcoming school year! If not I will continue to be a SAHM!
