Bf after a c section

My first two babies were born vaginally and I was able to latch them on right after they were born. Now I'm pregnant with twins and looking at a c section. How soon after can I BF? I can't even wrap my mind around the logistics. I'm worried about the twins not eating for hours after they are born and creating all kinds of crazy senerios. And of course when I'm at the obgyn I always forget to ask...

    Totally lurking here but I had two vaginal births as well and my last was a c-section.  I had to be put to sleep and I think I was out for about an hour.  Once I woke up they brought the baby right to me and I nursed.  I don't know how it w

    Thank you for the info! It's funny, just as I posted the hospitals lactation consultant emailed me for a meeting next week! Haha it always happens. The minute you put it out there...
    I guess it's just that fear of the unknown. But these replays are

    As I was being stapled shut on the operating table, the nurses tried to get my baby to latch. Unfortunately, it didn't work. But, we successfully breastfed after I came back from the recovery room about 2 hours. He wasn't given any formula or pacifiers

    I don't have any experience as I have not had a c-section, but I wanted to say that with both my babies I couldn't BF right away and we had no problems.  With DD they weren't happy with her breathing, so took her immediately to the warmer and I didn'

    I had an emergency c/s and was put under general anesthesia. 3+ hours after LO was born, I woke up and they brought him to me. He latched right away and we've had a great BF experience since. It is possible!
