in doing a birthday present exchange between S12 babies? We could do it kind of like we did the cupid shuffle, where we use elfster, but then you would send your baby's match a birthday present! Whatdya think S12?

I don't know how I feel about actually sending gifts. A picture exchange again, maybe, but an actual exchanging of addresses could get a little sketch, IMO.

I think $15 or $20 would be my max. What do you guys think? That is usually my max for other birthday gifts. We could also specify toy or clothing, or something else.....

I would agree with this. I think we could do it kind of like we do with the toddler pen-pals:

Get a match, pm them for specifics on what they need/want (toy, clothes, etc.), then send a gift.

However, I think we should hold off and do another interest poll when we get a little closer. July, maybe? In the next 3 months, lots of people may come and go.

I'm on the fence since I am trying to avoid getting birthday gifts from our IRL friends. Maybe make it a birthday book exchange? I don't want/need toys and I don't trust people to pick out clothes that I like, yes I know I'm a brand snob.

I like this idea too. I wouldn't feel comfortable specifically stating what kind of gift someone else should buy for my child (clothing/toys, etc.). I think it takes away from the point of it being a gift. If we all did a book (or books) then it would be a lot more simplified, IMO.

I'd totally do a book swap! And I love the idea of a gift receipt just in case (or since I have a major children's book obsession and have sooo many I always get duplicates or triplicates).
