I've been polling my friends about types of things I should be registering for with our first baby. 3 out of 4 of my friends said to get a Rock'n Play and that their babies actually slept in that at night for the first few months, although the doctors don't recommend it. I was a little worried that if he slept on an incline as an infant then he would have a hard time adjusting to the flat crib. It does seem silly to spend a lot of money on a bassinet if they will only use it for 3-5 months. Any thoughts on these things as an all-nighter solution?
